Description

ABOUT US:

PurposeMed was founded in 2019 with the mission of improving access to complex care for underserved communities. We’ve grown quickly in our first few years, and now our exceptional team serves thousands of patients each month across our multiple verticals.
PurposeMed consists of three complex care business units: Freddie, Frida, and Foria, and partners with Affirming Care Pharmacy. Freddie is focused on improving sexual health through education, prevention, and treatment with a focus on the LGBTQ2S+ community—we’re the #1 rated PrEP provider in North America, serving patients in both Canada and the USA! Frida is changing the lives of patients with easier access to adult ADHD diagnosis, and fast and affordable treatment. Foria Clinic provides trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse Canadians with gender-affirming healthcare. Affirming Care Pharmacy is a specialty pharmacy with locations in Calgary, Alberta, and Mississauga, Ontario. This partnership provides our patients with an end-to-end healthcare experience, from treatment, to prescription delivery, to continuous affirming care.
We’re proud to be ranked #2 on Deloitte’s 2024 list of Canada’s 50 fastest-growing tech companies and recognized as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures for two consecutive years. Driven by a strong mission, our team is passionate about making healthcare accessible to those who need it most—and we make sure to have fun along the way!

WHO WE HOPE TO FIND:

PurposeMed is looking for a versatile Brand Designer to bring our inclusive brand identities to life through eye-catching visuals across every touchpoint, including paid ads, social content, and event activations. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects need to be managed at once. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our Creative Director, sit in on monthly creative-performance reviews with our Growth team, and turn data-backed insights into fresh concepts that drive both brand awareness and sign-ups. This role will primarily focus on Freddie, our LGBTQ2S+ inclusive HIV treatment and prevention brand, but may evolve to also support other PurposeMed brands (Frida, Foria, and Affirming Care).

Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY:

Turning creativity into measurable impact

  • Working on day-to-day creative production including creating, resizing, adapting, and optimizing paid social and dating app ads, informed by past learnings to drive performance. This is the core focus of the role.
  • Collaborating with the Creative Director on campaign creative across digital, print, dating apps, web, events, and merch. You’ll be involved from concept through to asset production, depending on campaign needs.
  • Supporting web projects by creating wireframes and dev-ready files, working closely with Growth, Product, and developers to ensure brand consistency.

Scaling a strong, inclusive brand identity

  • Developing on-brand templates such as brochures, Instagram stories, and email headers that internal teams and partners can use to self-serve without compromising design integrity.
  • Designing swag and printed collateral like shirts, stickers, posters, and event signage that feel relevant and community-driven.

Shaping how our community sees and connects with us

  • Using performance data and brand insights to evolve how Freddie shows up visually and emotionally to LGBTQ2S+ communities.
  • Creating design work that contributes to reducing stigma, improving access to care, and helping people feel seen and safe.
  • Influencing key moments in the patient journey, from discovery and trust-building to sign-up and treatment engagement.
