About the role: The Brand Excellence Manager drives in-store operations and customer journey excellence for the Carl’s Jr. Brand. The role is responsible for reviewing and analysing the operational performance and customer journey, recommends improvements to deliver stronger efficiency, quality, safety, and ultimately the customer experience. This position also supports menu optimisation and new product development activities from concept definition through testing and launch readiness. Some of your role scope includes being responsible for: Operational Excellence - Define and execute the operational excellence roadmap aligned to brand strategy, review operational standards ensuring they support the Carl’s Jr brand objectives, lead process reviews and implement simplifications to optimise operations. Labour Efficiency – work closely with the Finance team to analyse drivers of labour efficiency and productivity, finding opportunities to reduce waste and improve throughput and optimising product processes without compromising quality. Customer Experience Champion – responsible for continuous improvement analysis and initiatives to improve the customer journey, identify and implement store-level experience movements and partner with both Operations and HR teams to embed new routines and ensure consistent execution across all CJ restaurants. Reporting & Performance Management – build and implement reporting dashboards, scorecards that highlight performance and execution, and create reporting mechanisms that track the impact of improvements and pilots instigated including post measurement and refinement recommendations. Product Quality and Compliance – Partner with the QA team to ensure compliance with H&S requirements and address issues, supporting external and internal audits, outcomes and corrective actions. Menu and NPD – review menu and continuous improvement activities to improve execution and ensure operationally feasible, lead in-store product testing and pilot programmes through to scaling across the Carl’s Jr stores. In order to be successful in this role you will bring the following: Tertiary level degree; ideally in Operations Management or Business Management or Economics. A minimum 8 years’ experience within the QSR sector, ideally with a significant amount of global experience gained across multiple global brands. Further post-graduate education such as an MBA qualification would be highly desirable but not essential. Proven experience being actively involved in NPD – leading cross-functional teams. Prior expertise with turning data into insights and managing P&L to achieve financial goals. Project Management experienced in leading complex, cross-functional projects from ideation through to launch. Ability to travel, visit and work across our stores alongside working from our Corporate office.
