The team brings together specialists across Brand & Content, Marketing, Marketing Automation and Student Experience, working collaboratively to deliver insight‑led, high‑quality brand and marketing activities across all channels. Partnering closely with teams across the University and external agencies, the focus is on using market and customer insights to build a strong, consistent brand presence, support recruitment objectives, and continuously enhance the student journey.   ABOUT THE ROLE This role is all about bringing the VU brand to life in a meaningful, consistent way. As Marketing Manager (Brand & Insights), you’ll work closely with teams across the University to provide clear brand guidance and smart insights that help shape campaigns, improve the student experience and support recruitment goals. You’ll balance big picture thinking with hands on delivery — from using research and data to track brand health and student sentiment, to acting as a trusted brand guardian who helps others get it right. It’s a collaborative, influential role suited to someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, turning insights into action, and making sure the VU brand shows up strongly everywhere it matters.   POSITION KEY DUTIES In this senior specialist role, you’ll: * Act as a brand guardian, embedding VU’s brand across channels, campuses and experiences * Support brand health, market and customer insight activities, turning data into clear, actionable guidance * Measure and report on key brand, market and experience metrics * Strengthen brand governance, guidelines and self-service tools * Deliver brand training and engagement across the University * Manage and develop VU branded merchandise and key external partners   This is a role where judgement, influence and credibility matter and where your work will be visible and valued.   POSITION DETAILS Classification: HEP 8 Salary: $113,953 - $128,326 Plus 17% Super Employment Type: Fixed Term – 6 Month Parental Leave Cover Hours per Week: 36.75/1 FTE Location: Footscray Park Campus – 3 days on-site   For a detailed overview of the role’s duties and responsibilities, please refer to the Position Description: Marketing Manager Brand and Insights [https://webresources.vu.edu.au/hr/employment/pdf/2026/385_17671.pdf]   ABOUT YOU You’re an experienced brand and insights professional who enjoys operating at both strategic and hands on levels. You’re comfortable advising senior stakeholders, confident translating insight into action, and motivated by work with real social impact.   You’ll bring: * Significant experience in brand management, marketing and/or customer insights * A strong track record delivering brand and research initiatives that drive measurable outcomes * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills * Experience improving brand governance, training and engagement * The ability to thrive in a complex, purpose driven organisation * Experience in the tertiary education sector is valued, but not essential.   HOW TO APPLY To submit your application please click on the Apply button.
