WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU….

  • Already operating at Brand Manager or very experienced Assistant Brand Manager looking for the next step. This should include time spent within a market leading FMCG organisation.
  • Full mix of experience across 360o Brand Management remit, with a significant amount of time spent delivering business results within a local market.
  • Experience leading a gate process from concept to execution.
  • Experience working with external agencies.
  • A commercially and analytically aware individual, who is comfortable developing and presenting business cases in an organisation which makes investment decisions on the back of robust data-based recommendations.
  • Strong bias for action and agility in getting things done, with a high level of personal accountability.
  • A ‘consumer first’ mindset who places them at the core of everything that they do.
  • An individual who has a track record of getting the best out of others with a collaborative and inclusive style.
  • Experience of Kantar/Circana (IRI or equivalent)
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

  • This is a key role with the Premier Foods Marketing team & Quick Meals business unit- joining a category experiencing significant growth.
  • We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to hit the ground running, taking ownership of our strategically important Batchelors Rice and Pasta portfolios (£29m RSV).
  • Batchelors Carbs portfolio spans 3 Brands (Super Noodles, Pasta n Sauce, Super Rice) each with different opportunities and key competitive battles as well as consumer focussed innovation pipelines.
  • The individual will take a lead role within Batchelors Entertainment platform- an engaging and innovative consumer proposition strengthening and evolving every year.
  • Premier’s lean organisation structure creates a culture of ownership and through-the-line responsibility. This Brand Manager role will have frequent exposure to senior leadership teams, with direct accountability for short-term business performance and setting the long-term strategic growth agenda within their area of responsibility.
  • The right candidate will have a clear marketing, innovation and commercial skillset and a proven track record of results. He/she/they will be comfortable analysing and deriving insights from different sources of consumer and retail data, will be extremely agile, able to get up to speed at pace and react fast to changing dynamics in the market. You will be externally focused with both consumers and retailers and have a passion for creating new ideas and bringing them to life. You will be a strong team player, able to influence and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders to achieve success

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING….

  • You will be accountable for the setting the future strategy and business direction for Batchelors Pasta and Rice.
  • You will take full responsibility for the delivery of the Batchelors Pasta and rice in-year P&L & market performance to ensure we hit our ‘winning plan’ targets.
  • You will work closely with commercial teams to develop & execute competitive plans, represent the brand externally, influence ranging decisions and improve the quality of in-store execution.
  • You will act as the key lead for the very exciting ‘Batchelors Entertainment’ platform- being actively involved throughout the process and taking ownership of delivering and strengthening our execution plans across all consumer touch points annually.
  • You will work with the Innovation and Marketing Controller to establish the longer-term NPD pipeline for your portfolio and/or EPD for the Carbs portfolio. You will drive the brand agenda for key Big Bet Innovation within your area.
  • You will set direction for and deliver through a wider cross-functional team spanning R&D, Category and Commercial.
  • You will be highly analytical- able to identify key insights and action plans from a complex array of data.
  • You will be responsible for the day to day budget management for the Batchelors team.
