QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years marketing experience
  • University degree BS/BA or equivalent
  • Proven ability to execute flawlessly on brand/marketing projects that align with overall Brand strategy and/or client/agency side.
  • Ability to perform structured analysis of complex data as it relates to brand direction.
  • Strong project management and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple products with a high degree of independence.
  • Demonstrate experience in working across and up, within the organization, gaining credibility amongst peers, managers and other commercial leadership.
  • Demonstrate personal characteristics to be a brand evangelist.
  • Self-driven, results oriented, pragmatic, with a flexible and positive “can do” approach to challenges and difficulties.
  • Effective at influencing across cultures.
  • English proficiency in writing, meetings, and presentations.
    Location: Singapore/Madrid (Must be able to travel to Asia for 30-40%) of total time
    Travel required: 20%

Responsibilities

Support the development and growth of our portfolio of Scotch brands across the GTR global footprint with a particular focus on our lead brands Bowmore and Laphroaig (supported by Auchentoshan, Ardmore, Teachers, Glen Garioch) by incorporating the full integrated marketing mix in the brand plans.

Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute mid and long-term brand strategies integrating the full marketing mix within the Scotch portfolio, focusing on innovation, market allocations, 6P’s in coordination with CMM’s for full funnel plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment with the Global Brand strategy, localizing plans for specific market channels with a specific focus on 5+10 locations and other key strategic locations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver on the Brand’s growth plan and innovation pipeline.
  • Create and maintain brand toolkit and guidelines to empower commercial teams in delivering high-quality brand activations.
  • Collaborate with Innovation team to create launch assets for new innovations

Consumer Insight:

  • Utilize cultural, competitor, and consumer insights to inform brand strategy development and execution.
  • Collaborate with category team to analyse consumer behaviour and market dynamics to derive actionable insights for brand growth.
  • Maintain strong financial acumen, managing budgets and making recommendations based on financial analysis.

Brand Stewardship:

  • Embed the Brand’s core identity into all strategies, ensuring consistent nurturing and strengthening of brand equity.
  • Oversee the implementation of distinctive design codes and messaging across all marketing channels to enhance brand visibility and recall.
