JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for an Ice Cream Brand Manager who will lead and execute the adaptation and implementation of ANZ brand plans into the New Zealand market. Acting as a key bridge between the ANZ strategy and NZ execution, this role shapes the local portfolio and marketing plans to achieve long and short-term business goals. This role will also lead new project development for local projects, working closely with the local and global cross-functional teams. A critical part of this role is building strong relationships across AU and local teams to influence, align and champion the needs of the NZ market. This role is based at our Newmarket office in Auckland and follows a hybrid work model KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads the brand marketing for the Streets Ice Cream business in New Zealand, collaborating with the ANZ and global teams to implement and deliver the company strategy: Strategic Brand Management: Develop and execute integrated brand marketing plans aligned with business objectives for NZ. Translate consumer and shopper insights into actionable strategies to drive brand performance. Innovation & Category Development: Work with cross-functional teams on innovation gatekeeping and innovation deployment. Monitor and analyse category and brand performance to optimize plans and identify growth opportunities. Campaign Development & Execution: Partner with media team and external agencies to design and implement disruptive media campaigns in NZ. Manage asset development, and in-store activation in collaboration with customer development teams. Performance Marketing: Continuously review brand performance across key metrics, channels, and activities. Use data, insights, and in-market results to diagnose issues, identify opportunities, and optimise plans to improve overall brand effectiveness and commercial outcomes. Budget & Performance Management: Own the New Zealand BMI budget, including day to day management, forecasting, invoice tracking, raising purchase orders and being responsible for prioritising spend to maximize brand impact. Customer & Channel Support: Partner with internal customer teams to tailor NPD and brand plans for key retailers, leading retail media plans and supporting customer events and instore activation. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain and customer development, to deliver seamless execution. Engage with global and regional teams to leverage assets and best practices. Prioritisation & Multi Brand Management – Strong ability to manage multiple brands and workstreams simultaneously, with clear prioritisation, decision making, and focus to deliver high-quality outcomes at pace. Category Strategy & Portfolio management - Ability to shape category direction and optimise brand portfolio roles to deliver long-term growth. Customer Understanding - Deep insight into shopper, consumer and customer needs to inform strategy, innovation, and activation. Discipline & Brilliance in Execution - Track record of delivering high-quality, on time execution across multiple projects and channels. Strong Business Acumen - Commercially minded decision making with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy and results. Operator Mindset with Creative Thinking - Brings strong operational discipline, project leadership, and executional rigour while also applying creative and strategic thinking to unlock compelling brand ideas and solutions. EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS: Strong foundations and experience in brand marketing (3+ years), with exposure to brand development, activation, and customer/ channel marketing. Experience with scan data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Quantium) and other performance marketing analytics to track performance. Able to interpret drivers and drainers of share, distribution and promotional effectiveness, and translate insights into clear optimisation actions that improve brand and commercial outcomes. Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, driving alignment and execution across cross functional teams (e.g., Sales, Supply, Category, Finance, R&D, Agencies). Strong track record of delivering initiatives OTIF, resolving barriers, and maintaining momentum in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to develop and execute effective brand strategies and campaigns Experience managing budgets and working with media, creative agencies, and cross-functional teams Strong influencing and people management skills - ability to engage/motivate colleagues and stakeholders behind a project, including the ability to reconcile and sell both commercial and purpose-driven agenda. Responsibilities
The Brand Manager will lead and execute the adaptation and implementation of ANZ brand plans into the New Zealand market, shaping local portfolio and marketing plans to meet business goals.
