Description

At Tennis Australia, we’re creating a more playful world through tennis – for everyone.
From grassroots to Grand Slams, tennis brings people together, inspires communities, and builds champions on and off the court.
We’re a team of imaginative and passionate people who believe in the power of sport to make a difference. If you’re ready to help us serve up real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re committed to reflecting the communities we work and play in. We strongly encourage applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTQI+ individuals, people with disability, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
About the role
At Tennis Australia, we’re championing a future where tennis is engaging and accessible to all. As Brand Manager – Participation, you’ll play a central role in shaping and executing the brand strategy for our participation programs and initiatives across Australia - crafting meaningful brand stories, campaigns, and experiences that connect with Australians of all ages and backgrounds. From grassroots tennis to fast-growing formats like Pickleball, Padel, and POP Tennis, you’ll ensure our brands are consistent, compelling, and relevant across every touchpoint.
This is your opportunity to work across national campaigns, high-impact activations, and innovative storytelling—backed by the power of the Australian Open, a global platform for our brand and values.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and lead brand positioning and go-to-market strategies across participation programs and disciplines.
  • Activate the Tennis Australia brand through national campaigns, grassroots storytelling, and strategic use of significant events like the Australian Open.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and external partners to deliver fully integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee the development of creative assets and ensure alignment with brand identity and messaging.
  • Support strategic projects by embedding brand insights and customer voice at every step.
  • Build partnerships to extend brand reach and expand into new, diverse communities.

About you
You’re a confident and proactive decision-maker who leads with purpose and isn’t afraid to get hands-on to drive outcomes. With proven experience in brand management, campaign delivery, and stakeholder engagement, you strike the perfect balance between strategic thinking and creative execution.
You bring a deep understanding of digital, social, and traditional media channels, and you know how to harness them effectively to build strong, engaging brands. A natural communicator, you influence senior leaders, manage agency relationships with ease, and foster strong, collaborative partnerships across cross-functional teams—always bringing your team along on the journey.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Highly organised, with project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure.
  • A solutions-focused mindset, with a flair for innovation and passion for elevating brand experiences.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities—able to inspire and grow a team while driving results.
  • Demonstrated expertise in brand strategy, positioning, and identity development
  • Proven experience collaborating with creative agencies and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to craft compelling brand stories and campaign messaging that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia

What’s to love?

  • Career development with a range of formal education and on the job training opportunities
  • Tickets to the Australian Open plus Superbox tickets to events at Rod Laver & Melbourne Arena
  • Monthly health & wellbeing activities with access to CorePlus Pilates
