Description

Purpose of the Role
To ensure timely, brand-consistent delivery of all packaging across the
portfolio.
This role acts as the linchpin between product development, design, and
printing -developing design briefs, driving executional accuracy and ensuring
packaging reflects the brand’s identity, regulatory compliance, and
commercial objectives.

  1. Creative Brief Development
  • Lead development of packaging design briefs across new products,

variants, and refreshes.

  • Translate brand design system/legal/regulatory requirements, and

product insights into clear, actionable briefs.

  • Build rollout plans that align with NPD timelines, go-to-market

requirements, and internal resourcing.

  1. Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Product Development,

Regulatory, Legal, and Supply Chain to align timelines and inputs.

  • Act as day-to-day lead for external packaging design and artwork

agencies -briefing, reviewing, and managing feedback loops.

  • Facilitate alignment between creative output and brand guardianship

requirements.
3. Project Management & Execution
Own end-to-end management of packaging development - from concept

to artwork finalization and production handover.

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently across varying timelines and

complexity levels.

  • Lead packaging refreshes, SKU rationalisations, and seasonal updates

with a focus on brand coherence and customer clarity.

  1. Quality, Consistency & Compliance
  • Ensure all packaging adheres to brand guidelines, category visual codes,

and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain packaging templates and master artwork library in

collaboration with artwork partners.

  • Manage packaging version control and support retailer-specific

packaging needs where required.

  1. Continuous Improvement
  • Champion process improvements in briefing, artwork approvals, and

supplier workflows.

  • Identify and mitigate risks across the packaging development process.
  • Monitor packaging performance post-launch and feed insights into

future development cycles.

  1. Budget & Financial Management
  • Manage packaging budgets in line with project scopes and forecast

planning.

  • Source and manage quotes from external suppliers and agencies.
  • Track invoices, manage purchase orders, and reconcile spend against

budget.

  • Ensure cost-efficiency across packaging projects without compromising

design or artwork compliance.
Key Skills & Attributes
Strong project management capability - able to juggle competing

deadlines and stakeholder needs.

  • Clear visual communication and attention to design detail.
  • Confident at managing creative agencies and reviewing artwork.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment

skills.

  • Knowledge of print production processes, packaging materials, and

FMCG timelines is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of brand consistency and packaging as a key

brand asset.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years in a packaging, brand, or creative project management role -

ideally in FMCG, retail, or consumer goods.

  • Proven track record in briefing and delivering packaging across

multiple SKUs or categories.

  • Experience working with artwork agencies and production teams.
