Spinneys was first established in 1924 by Arthur Spinneys in the suburbs of Alexandria Egypt, to provide consumers with a friendly shopping environment where they can find high quality fresh produce, groceries, and baked goods at a fair price. Due to civil war happening in Lebanon at that time, Spinneys stopped their operations in 1976. As this success was tremendous, it led Spinneys to expand its branches and open additional stores across Lebanon once again. Job Description Job Overview: The Brands Communications Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and analyzing the marketing activities related to GMRL private labels and imported brands and to ensure they are in line with the company’s overall strategy. Duties and Responsibilities: Strategy Development: Ensure proper implementation of GMRL brands marketing and communications strategies Develop advertising and marketing tools including above the line and below the line materials based on the yearly marketing calendars of GMRL brands Collaboration & Relations Management: Work closely with the development, private label and imports departments on the yearly calendars and plans related to every brand Interact and coordinate with the company’s business partners such as advertising agency, media buying unit, PR agency, production and printing houses Cooperate with other related departments such as commercial department, operations and finance Support other brands marketing team on similar related tasks when needed Campaign & Marketing Management: Communicate directly with GMRL retail outlets to ensure proper implementation of promotions, branding, campaigns, launches and events Manage the online presence of GMRL brands on social media and websites Organize and supervise occasional events in addition to other related public relations jobs and ensure its proper media and online coverage Market Research & Performance Measurement: Analyze and interpret sales figures, evaluate advertising and promotions campaign and conduct market surveys Conduct daily media monitoring and developing competitive reports and analysis Qualifications Between 5 and 8 years of experience in brand communication, marketing, or public relations roles, with a proven track record in managing brand communication strategies Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or any related field
