PASSIONATE ABOUT BREAD?

Wheatfields has an opening in the bread department for a part time bench/shaping position as well as a backup delivery driver.
We make bread in an artisanal style using traditional methods and bake using a wood fired oven. Most of our breads are naturally leavened, with just a couple of dough’s that use commercial yeast. Our bakery is high volume production and you would work as a team with other shapers to divide, shape and board dough, preparing for the next day as well as helping keep the bakery clean.
Delivery position involves coming in at 6am, creating invoices for our wholesale accounts, sorting and bagging bread, then delivering to grocery stores and some restaurants downtown. As well as maintaining cleanliness in the van and delivery station.
Experience is great but we will also train the right person, whether you are a home baker, commercial baker, or just passionate about bread!
Bench shifts begin at 4:45am. Delivery shifts begin at 6:00am. This is a physical job, standing up to 8 hrs at a time, lifting up to 50lbs as well as rolling out, shaping and boarding dough by hand.
