However, you do not need to come in with recovery industry specific knowledge , we’re happy to train the right person. THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a Breakdown and Recovery Dispatcher to coordinate and assign recovery and roadside jobs to our team of drivers, technicians, and network partners. You’ll work closely with field staff, assess vehicle issues based on caller descriptions, and help ensure the correct recovery resource is sent out.
In addition to dispatching, you’ll also support our on-site maintenance operation — helping order parts for our technicians and coordinating bookings and admin for commercial customers with ongoing servicing and inspection requirements.
Geographical knowledge of the UK (especially locally) is helpful, and an interest in how vehicles or transport operations work will go a long way, even if you’re not from a technical background.

THE ROLE’S KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

• Using operational judgement to allocate the correct vehicle and technician to each job
• Answering calls from customers and breakdown organizations, assessing their needs and vehicle issues.
• Supporting scheduling and admin for fleet maintenance customers (servicing, defects, inspections)
• Creating and managing jobs using the APEX recovery system.
• Dispatching recovery jobs to the appropriate drivers, ensuring their vehicle capabilities match the task.
• Handling card payments and preparing job sheets for invoicing
