Description The Breaker Department Manager – 2nd Shift will lead the operations of our liquid egg breaker to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and driving results in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead and coach a team of breaker department employees to achieve daily production goals. Provide training on job requirements, safety practices, and continuous improvement. Ensure all products meet customer and regulatory quality standards. Maximize throughput and efficiency of the breaker equipment. Monitor the flow of eggs for even distribution and proactively address bottlenecks. Identify and remove non-compliant product (dirty, cracked, leaking) before it reaches the balance tank. Coordinate with cross-functional teams—including Loader Operators, QC, and Maintenance—to keep production running smoothly. Staff and direct workflow at shift startup, ensuring readiness and alignment. Inspire strong team performance and maintain accountability. Lead by example to promote a safe work environment and enforce safety policies. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all GMP and PPE requirements. Perform other duties as needed to support departmental success. Qualifications Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a team. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently. Ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment. Clear and effective communication skills. Reliable, proactive, and committed to performing work with integrity and accuracy. A continuous improvement mindset—able to identify issues, recommend solutions, implement improvements, and adjust based on results. Ability to follow detailed processes and adapt to changing priorities.
