Substation cafe is a well established cafe business that proud itself for the excellent quality of food, coffee and service it offers . We are looking for creative and talented Chefs and cooks to join our growing teams in both our Alexandria location .
We are flexible to offer a Full time or Part time position.

Qualifications & experience

  • Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of employment experience as a breakfast & Lunch chef .
  • Certificate 4 and up in commercial cookery is an advantage .
  • Will be able to work at least one weekend day (ideally both weekend days ).
  • Creativity and passion for food .
  • Good English communication skills,

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Managing the smooth operation of the kitchen (7 days operation) .
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi task .
  • Prepare and cook food, daily specials and catering.
  • Assure the quality and consistency of the dishes are kept .
  • food orders management and control .
  • Assist in creating and planning seasonal menu ( Check our instagram @substationcafe) .
  • Follow and enforce hygiene regulations
  • Assist in managing the kitchen team efficiently and with positive energy.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour
