Description The Timber at Holly Branch is a boutique hotel located in Gatlinburg, TN. The hotel’s on-site restaurant, Stillhouse, offers a variety of casual dining options and drinks. This position will be based at Stillhouse, located within The Timber at Holly Branch. The Breakfast Attendant will be responsible for setting up the breakfast service, beverage station, and dining areas in a consistent and timely manner. This position will also assist with preparing breakfast items, making alcoholic beverages, and occasionally assist with other guest needs. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys early mornings, has a passion for food and hospitality, and takes pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests! This is a part-time position with primarily morning hours. Free employee parking is available on-site! Responsibilities: Breakfast Attendant and Cook Responsibilities: Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet/service area according to established standards and guest forecasts Prepare the dining area for service, ensuring tables, seating areas, and stations are clean, organized, and sanitary Set up, maintain, and break down the beverage station daily Prepare and cook a variety of hot breakfast items while following standardized recipes and portion guidelines Assist with preparing simple lunch items as needed, including sandwiches, soups, and salads Restock food and beverage items as needed and monitor product levels to ensure a smooth guest experience Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient customer service to guests throughout breakfast service Maintain cleanliness of all dining and kitchen areas, including wiping surfaces, washing utensils, and cleaning equipment after service Follow all opening and closing procedures accurately and consistently Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations, including proper food storage and handwashing procedures Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or supply shortages to management promptly Support guest needs around the property when needed to enhance the overall guest experience Teamwork and Service Standards Maintain a professional appearance and follow uniform guidelines Attend required staff meetings, safety meetings, and training sessions Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive and efficient work environment Support other departments or team members as needed to ensure a smooth operation Complete additional tasks as assigned by management to support a quality guest experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred). 1-2 years previous experience working in a kitchen setting (required). Must be at least 18 years old (required). Current valid ABC license, or willing to obtain within 60 days of employment (required). Current valid ServSafe certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment (required). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Good verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with guests, the public and other team members. Ability to work under pressure. Interpersonal skills to provide overall customer satisfaction. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and early morning shift. Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, climb, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday.
