Description The Timber at Holly Branch, an affiliate of Ayres Lodging Collective, is a boutique hotel in Gatlinburg, TN. The Breakfast Attendant will be responsible for setting up/maintaining the breakfast buffet, beverage station, and dining areas in a consistent and timely manner. This is a part-time role perfect for someone who loves early mornings, has a passion for food and hospitality, and enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests! Breakfast Attendant Responsibilities Prepare breakfast dining area and tables for service with special attention to sanitation and order. Set up and maintain breakfast buffet according to pre-determined schematic and by the forecasted number of guests anticipated. Set up, takedown, and maintain the beverage station and continental breakfast area. Ensure tables and dining area are always clean and tidy. Provide excellent customer service to guests and serve food efficiently. Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines. Support guest needs around the property to the best of your ability, stepping in to assist with any duties that enhance the overall guest experience. Breakfast Cook Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of hot breakfast items. Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency and quality. Prepare simple lunch items such as sandwiches, soups, and salads. Follow opening and closing procedures accurately. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handwashing, food storage, and equipment cleaning. Perform daily cleaning of kitchen equipment, prep areas, and utensils after service. Support additional kitchen or food service tasks as needed. Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred). 1-2 years previous experience working in a kitchen setting (required). Must be at least 18 years old (required). Current valid ABC license, or willing to obtain within 60 days of employment (required). Current valid ServSafe certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment (required). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Good verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with guests, the public and other team members. Ability to work under pressure. Interpersonal skills to provide overall customer satisfaction. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and early morning shift. Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, climb, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday.
