Breakfast Chef – Bathen House Hotel, Bath
Bathen House Hotel is seeking to recruit a motivated, creative, and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our small but passionate team.
Bathen House is a 13-bedroom Boutique Hotel offering breakfast 7 days a week, using only the finest seasonal ingredients from local suppliers, presented to the highest standard.
This role is perfect for someone looking for flexible hours in the mornings, with the option to top up hours in housekeeping to create a fuller working week. It may suit someone seeking a role that fits well around family life, studies, or other commitments.

Responsibilities

• Take full control of the breakfast service, ensuring guests enjoy a truly memorable start to their day.
• Cook and manage breakfast service to an exceptional standard.
• Maintain effective mise-en-place, stock rotation, portion control, and stock optimisation.
• Ensure the kitchen, equipment, and utensils are always kept clean and organised to the required hygiene standards.
• Complete all necessary food hygiene and kitchen records.

Requirements

• A genuine passion for cooking and hospitality.
• Minimum 1 year’s kitchen experience (training will be provided).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends.
• A positive, enthusiastic team player with a hands-on attitude.
• Well-presented with a professional and approachable manner.
