Berwick House, a stunning private estate and events venue on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, is seeking a passionate Breakfast Chef to join our small, dedicated team.
About the Role
We are looking for someone with a flair for creating both classic and modern breakfast dishes, with a focus on quality and presentation. You will be responsible for preparing and serving breakfast for our in-house guests, ensuring they start their day with a memorable experience that reflects the high standards of Berwick House.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and serving high-quality breakfasts (continental and cooked).
  • Managing prep, cooking, and plating to high presentation standards.
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene and kitchen cleanliness at all times.
  • Catering to dietary requirements and guest preferences.
  • Working independently and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a chef, ideally in a hotel or boutique hospitality setting.
  • Passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work independently and manage small-scale service smoothly.

Hours & Pay

  • 10–14 hours per week (typically 2 breakfast shifts, plus occasional buffet/event work).
  • Competitive hourly rate (based on experience).
  • Additional hours may be available during busy periods and events.
