  • Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed
  • Working between the hours of 5am and 2pm

Situated on a unique vantage point with breath taking views over Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountain range, our resort offers 148 guests rooms with either spectacular lake or relaxing garden views. We have two restaurants; Rises Restaurant offers a hearty alpine buffet breakfast every day and South Eatery Restaurant, a la carte dining, featuring the best of Central Otago seasonal menus and wines. A lounge bar, room service and conferencing, completes our Food and Beverage offerings.
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Breakfast Chef at CDP level, to join our passionate kitchen brigade. If you take pride in delivering exceptional food, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love being part of a team, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications

  • A qualified chef with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated creativity and flair in menu execution and food presentation.
  • Highly organised with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • A positive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or commercial kitchen is highly regarded.
  • Available to work 5 days per week, on a 7 day rotating roster, between the hours of 5am and 2pm, including weekends and public holidays
Responsibilities
  • Manage our breakfast kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Ensure buffet stations are well-presented, regularly replenished, and responsive to guest demand.
  • Work closely with fellow chefs to maintain flexibility and teamwork across all kitchen areas.
  • Prepare and cook dishes with precision, urgency, and consistency, following recipes and quality standards.
  • Uphold food safety and hygiene standards in all food handling, preparation, and storage.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment that meets all health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels, anticipate needs, and communicate effectively with supervisors.
  • Minimise food waste and control costs through efficient practices and standardised recipes.
  • Support the successful delivery of food service for conferences and events.
