The Sir Thomas Hotel is a boutique family operated business, with newly refurbished guest rooms, an excellent restaurant, and a well-stocked bar. It is located in the City Centre and provides easy access to all of Liverpool’s historic attractions.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Breakfast Chef, with established knowledge of the hospitality industry and a commitment to excellence.
Some responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be able to work quickly and efficiently to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner, often lone working as a breakfast chef. Ultimately, you will prepare and deliver a complete breakfast menu that delights our guests in an important part of our business - breakfast for our hotel guests!

Responsibilities
  • Set up the kitchen for the day ahead for the team
  • Ownership of the breakfast department, ordering and replenishing
  • Responsible for providing breakfast service made to order
  • Enquire, understand and manage the implications of food allergies for guests
  • Exceeding guest service experience
  • Completion of all tasks necessary during their shift
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
  • Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation
  • Supervise Cooks and assist as needed
  • Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, dairy)
  • Monitor food stock and place orders
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
