KEY REQUIREMENTS

• You must live permanently in Plymouth (Devon, UK) and be available during school holidays and the summer period (planned absences with advance notice are acceptable).

  We are a well-established independent boutique hotel located by the beautiful seaside and in Plymouth’s vibrant city centre, is seeking a Breakfast Chef to join our friendly, hard-working team. We are a family-run guest accommodation just 5 minutes from the ferry terminal, with on-site parking and free WiFi.
  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys early starts, takes pride in delivering high-quality breakfasts and can thrive in a small, fast-paced kitchen environment.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• Previous chef or kitchen experience (breakfast service preferred)
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work efficiently during busy breakfast periods
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate ideal)
• A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work independently.
• Friendly and professional with good communication skills
• Reliability and punctuality are essential

• Prepare and cook breakfast to order for guests, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Set up and clean down the kitchen before and after service.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage breakfast stock, assist with ordering and minimise food waste.
• Support in maintaining kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues if needed.
• Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to deliver excellent guest experience.
• Occasionally assist with light food prep for the day’s service.
