We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our team and help deliver an exceptional morning dining experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Breakfast Chef at Gracie’s Café, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes with precision and creativity. You’ll work as part of a dynamic kitchen team, ensuring smooth service during peak hours while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Line Cook, or similar role in a café, brunch spot, or restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of breakfast/brunch cooking techniques (e.g., poaching eggs, pancake/flatbread preparation, artisanal toast toppings).
  • Ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure during peak hours.
  • Basic understanding of food safety standards (Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred).
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays (typical shifts 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM).

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch dishes to order, including eggs, pancakes, avocado toast, pastries, and specialty items.
  • Ensure all food is presented beautifully and consistently meets Gracie’s high standards.
  • Work efficiently during busy morning/brunch service while maintaining a clean and organized station.
  • Assist with prep work, including chopping, baking, and mise en place for the next service.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to develop seasonal specials and menu improvements.
  • Support kitchen operations by assisting with stock rotation and inventory checks.
