JOB SUMMARY

Deco Restaurant & Café at Saltdean Lido are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As an experienced Chef you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining the standards of our kitchen. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The Role is primarily Day shifts, with some early morning starts and occasional later finishes assisting with events.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate teamwork within the kitchen.
  • A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
  • Assist in supervising kitchen staff and coordinating daily tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal dishes.
