Our Hotel The Sydney Boulevard Hotel, a classic establishment near Sydney’s CBD, boasts 275 well-appointed guest rooms, 2 food and beverage outlets, and 11 function rooms. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high operational standards. We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Commis Chef to join our team, support our Head Chef, and help ensure guest requirements are always met with the delivery of exceptional experiences. Job Description What you will be doing/ Key Responsibilities? This is a great opportunity for a developing chef looking to gain experience across à la carte service, breakfast buffets, conferencing and events within a professional hotel kitchen. You will be responsible for: Assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes Supporting chefs during busy service periods in a fast-paced environment Maintaining consistency and quality across all food offerings Ensuring food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are met at all times Keeping workstations clean, organised and efficient Assisting with stock rotation and minimising food wastage Contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture This role suits someone who is flexible, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a dynamic kitchen environment.
