BREAKFAST CHEF/ ASSISTANT CHEF

The Pavilion is a busy Tearoom serving fresh cooked-to order breakfasts, light lunches and Afternoon Tea. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers and producing homemade food. We seat 120 inside our beautiful Victorian Glasshouse and can seat 100 outside in our Walled Garden.
Reports to: Kitchen Manager/ Head Cook

Responsibilities
  • To prep and run a busy breakfast service ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently
  • To produce breakfast and lunch dishes to the required standard
  • To support the Chef in the day to day duties of running The Pavilion kitchen
  • To assist with the preparation of the homemade soups, scones, quiches, fillings and all other menu items
  • When required to be a key holder, open The Pavilion & perform the visual checks
  • When required to ensure that kitchen staff are allocated jobs for the day
  • To be able to work with or lead a small fast paced team in a high pressured environment
  • To take responsibility for the kitchen ordering when required
  • Maintain a clean environment and ensure compliance with all Health and Hygiene regulations
  • Make sure relevant paperwork is current and up to date
  • To have reliable access to own car due to remote location of the Tearoom.
  • We ask that you work one day at the weekend and are flexible with shift swaps.
