POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Breakfast Cook/Attendant to join our Food and Beverage team. These roles are essential in starting our guests’ day off right by providing a delicious and well-prepared breakfast, ensuring food quality and cleanliness standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor, a passion for food preparation, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must have valid BC food safe certification.
· Ability to work early morning shifts.
· Prioritization and time management skills with ability to work efficiently under pressure.
· Previous experience in a breakfast service or kitchen role preferred.
· A team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

· Prepare and cook breakfast buffet items according to Marriott standards and recipes
· Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet, keeping the area clean and inviting, and ensuring food items are well presented, replenished, and fresh.
· Greet guests warmly and assist them with any questions or requests regarding the breakfast service.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and buffet area, adhering to health and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with food safety and brand standard.
· Monitor inventory of food and kitchen supplies, reporting any shortages to management in a timely manner.
· Collaborate with kitchen and hotel staff to ensure a seamless service experience for guests.
· Handle food preparation and serving tasks with attention to detail, including the use of proper portion control and kitchen equipment.
· Clean up after breakfast service, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and preparing the area for the next day.
· Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge related to the position.
