Description

We are currently seeking Breakfast Cooks to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a fast-paced kitchen, the ability to multitask, and familiarity with breakfast service. Our Breakfast Cook will be responsible for preparing and plating high quality meals in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under pressure and with little supervision.
  • Work quickly in a physical environment.
  • Work experience in a full-service restaurant.
  • Knowledge of menu items and how they are prepared.
  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
  • Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.
  • Date all food containers and rotate as per restaurant standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
  • Check par levels for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out of stock items or possible shortages.
  • Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
  • Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill.
  • Ensure rotation of stock and the storage of all food items in accordance with health & safety regulations and company policy.
  • Assist as requested with the receiving/putting away of food items.
  • Carry out opening and closing duties applicable to the position and be competent in the completion of all duties within the shift.
  • Assist with kitchen cleaning duties as delegated to maintain the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
  • Be competent in the safe and efficient use of equipment in line procedures.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
