Description:

We are on the lookout for an experienced, enthusiastic, and bright individual to join our dynamic breakfast & lunch team as a Food & Beverage assistant.
This is a full time role that includes early mornings, weekdays, and also weekends. This is not a seasonal position, so will require full shifts after the summer season too.
The successful candidates will be reporting to the Food & Beverage Management team and will support them in the efficient running of the hotel breakfast and lunch in Off The Bone Gastropub ensuring the customers are offered the highest quality standards and value for money. With your enthusiastic, helpful, and friendly personality, you will also provide the highest standard of customer service and care to the customers and guests at all times, to the very best of your ability. Having an in-depth product knowledge specifically in relation to food service and service standards.

These roles will involve working a variety of shifts including midweek, and busy weekends. We are looking for experienced Full Time or Part Time candidates

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations in an efficient and personalised manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining a comfortable atmosphere in the restaurant, by controlling and monitoring heating, lighting, and music / TVs
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver outstanding food and beverage offerings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for our guests.
  • Greet the customer when they arrive and thank them for their custom when they leave.
  • Ensure the OTB restaurant, is set up and ready to open as per the agreed & advertised times & maintained on an ongoing basis
  • An in-depth knowledge of the food menu, including any specials of the day, how the dishes are cooked, and being able to recommend dishes.
  • Be aware of all the allergens that may be contained in each of the dishes.
  • Be confident in your ability to explain what is in each dish if requested.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the range of drinks that are available which also includes wines.
  • Throughout service, follow correct procedures as stipulated by the hotel in the service of food and beverages in the OTB Gastropub.
  • Up-sell and maximise food & beverage sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
  • Issue receipts to all customers as required.
  • Be aware of Food Hygiene Regulations and carry out any tasks or duties in conjunction with such regulations.
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning checklists ensuring high standards of hygiene are maintained at all times
  • Attend any training and meetings that management may require you to attend.
  • Observe all Health and Safety rules and ensure the safety of yourself, guests, and work colleagues.
