YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS:
Do you have excellent people and communication skills, and enjoy working with the public? Do you have a passion for breastfeeding and extensive knowledge of the benefits? We are seeking a motivated and compassionate person to join our team; someone who understands local health issues and the barriers to breastfeeding.
You must be able to work as part of a team, and be flexible, adaptable and responsive, as this is a service where the needs of service users come first, and no two days are ever the same.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and commitment, in order to provide the best possible support and advice to all parents. You will work under the supervision and direction of the Early Years Health Improvement Specialist, as well as supporting the Infant Feeding Specialist clinics under Bridgewater NHS Trust, with clinical supervision from the Specialist Lead.
Ideally, you will have completed the 2-day UNICEF breastfeeding management and relationship building training (or equivalent), in addition to existing knowledge of the health benefits of breastfeeding. You will have experience of supporting breastfeeding in a voluntary or paid capacity, and an ability to assess and plan care.
