Job Details Job Location: Brenham - Brenham, TX 77833 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Position: Delivery Driver/Order Puller Reports to: Store manager Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and efficient delivery driver/order puller to join our team at Woodson Lumber. This role involves preparing, loading, and delivering a variety of lumber and building materials to customer locations while also balancing responsibilities in the retail yard. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Order Pulling: Accurately pull and prepare orders for delivery, ensuring that all items match the customer's request and are in good condition. 2. Loading: Safely load materials onto delivery trucks, ensuring they are securely fastened and organized for efficient unloading. 3. Delivery: Drive to customer locations to deliver orders, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. 4. Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring a positive experience. 5. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks on delivery vehicles and report any issues to management. 6. Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts and maintain a clean and safe work area in the lumberyard. 7. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to improve efficiency and customer service. 8. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Ability to lift and move heavy materials. • Experience in driving large vehicles is preferred. • Basic knowledge of lumber and building materials is advantageous. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • High school diploma or equivalent.
