Responsibilities

DUTIES

  • Wort production, including preparing and loading grists and producing wort to specification with accurate records
  • Cellaring, including transfers, dry hopping, and QC including measuring gravities, CO₂, O₂, pH, and basic microscopy for yeast health and cell count
  • Packaging (canning, kegging, cask racking), ensuring packing meets specifications and keeping accurate packaging records
  • Cleaning tanks, the brewhouse and equipment in accordance with SOPs
  • Organising stock of both ingredients and packaged beer
  • Accurately recording data and complying with HACCP and food safety plans
  • Representing Beak at trade shows, beer festivals, brewery tours and online events
  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the brewery
  • Following SOPs and suggesting improvements to processes
  • Taking part in QC tasting panels
  • As we are a small team from time to time you may be required to assist other employees with their tasks as necessary, including assisting in loading and unloading deliveries, fulfilling and dispatching trade and retail orders, and organising the warehouse
