Description Brewer / Cellar Join our dynamic brewing team as a Brewer, where your expertise will be essential in producing high-quality craft beverages. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to operate and maintain brewing equipment, ensuring the consistency and excellence of our products from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain all brewing, cellaring, packaging, and racking equipment efficiently and safely. - Execute the entire brewing process, including milling, mashing, lautering, wort boiling, and transferring to fermenters. - Follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality in production. - Monitor and evaluate yeast health, pitch rates, and fermentation progress. - Manage inventory levels of raw materials and supplies, ensuring timely replenishment. - Track and record critical parameters such as gravities, temperatures, and carbonation levels throughout the brewing process. - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and work areas in compliance with safety standards. - Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly. - Assist in quality control checks and sensory evaluations to uphold product standards. Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience in brewing, cellaring, or related beverage production roles. - Strong understanding of brewing processes, equipment, and safety protocols. - Ability to monitor and interpret process parameters such as gravity, temperature, and carbonation. - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. - Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating heavy equipment. - Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in a brewing environment. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. Experience in brewing operations or food manufacturing is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, mobile applications and technology JOB REQUIREMENTS - Brewer Proof of eligibility to work in the United States Valid driver’s license in the State of Oregon, proof of insurance and a clean driving record Reliable transportation for work Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends, and holidays PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Brewer Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat) Must be able to work in hot, cold, and wet environments Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 60 lbs. Must be able to use a ladder, i.e., work at heights of 10+’ above grade
