WEEKEND TAPROOM & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE ASSISTANT – SIXPENNY BREWERY

The Sixpenny Tap is the welcoming face of Sixpenny Brewery, a family-run, award-winning brewery with a loyal community of locals and a steady stream of visitors eager to discover our beers and brewing story. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and personable individual to join our team as a Weekend Taproom & Customer Experience Assistant.
This is a varied role that goes beyond typical bar work. While serving pints is part of the job, you’ll also play an important part in ensuring the smooth running of the taproom, handling customer orders, and making every guest feel welcome.

REQUIREMENTS

• A positive, friendly, and approachable manner
• Confidence in dealing with a wide variety of people
• Interest in learning about craft beer and brewing (training provided)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to take responsibility during shifts
• Previous bar or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential
• Must be 18+

• Serve customers with warmth, knowledge, and professionalism
• Learn about our beers and share this with customers, from curious visitors to loyal regulars
• Handle a range of drinks, snacks, gift vouchers, and merchandise sales
• Manage telephone enquiries and process “beer in box” orders (18- and 36-pint)
• Prepare takeaway containers and ensure stock is well maintained and in top condition
• Record and organise customer orders accurately
• Keep the taproom and bar area clean, tidy, and welcoming
• Answer questions about the brewery and brewing process
