Job Description: A passion for quality craft beer and based in Halifax, you will report to the Brew Master and be responsible for all aspects of beer production.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· You have advanced knowledge of the brewing process and a passion for craft beer.
· You have a certificate or advanced education in brewing process, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or have related experience in the brewing field.
· You are practical, multi-skilled and flexible.
· You have attention to detail and are capable of troubleshooting issues.
· You can work through challenges, adapt to changes, and think critically.
· Must be at least 19 years of age.
· Ability to carry, lift or transfer heavy items.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
· Ability to climb stairs repeatedly throughout the day.
· Must be a team player & work in a team environment.
· Day to day operations within the brewery.
· Brewing: Beer, Cider, RTDs and craft Sodas.
· Cellar work: Performing Centrifuging, tank cleaning & sanitizing, beer transfers, dry-hopping, Fermentation monitoring, cleaning and day-to-day maintenance of equipment.
· Monitoring Wastewater Treatment System operations and performance.
· Input document information in EKOS (preferred).
· Assist in the creation and development of SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and testing methods.
· Participate in beer quality assessment sensory panel.
· Monitoring product quality assurance and control.
· Advise the General Manager and Brew Master of any maintenance issues.
· Work with chemicals and other workplace hazards in a safe and vigilant manner.
· Comply with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
· Maintain a clean and safe workplace
