JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Brick Layer to join our fast growing construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, block, and stone, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Projects include structural alterations, extensive refurbishments, new builds & renovations for both private & public sector clients,

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry techniques.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
  • Knowledge of carpentry and roofing practices is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to specifications and design plans.
  • Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools.
  • Mix mortar to the appropriate consistency for various applications.
  • Construct walls, chimneys, arches, and other structures as required.
  • Perform repairs on existing masonry structures to restore their integrity.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers on construction projects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
  • Inspect completed work for quality assurance before finalising projects.
