BRICKLAYER – WALLAN BASE

Kogan People Solutions are working with a well-regarded bricklaying company known for their commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction, based in Wallan, Victoria.
Specialising in new home construction and with a team of experienced bricklayers, this business has built a strong reputation across the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne for delivering projects on time and within budget.
To ensure ongoing success, our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced bricklayer to join their busy team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate the care and attention to detail that this role requires. This role is full time and ongoing.
Location – Their base is in Wallan Victoria and work locations are principally across Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs and beyond.

• Laying bricks and other building materials, such as pre-cut stone, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials, in horizontal rows, designs and shapes.
• Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to understand specifications and determine material requirements, alignment, and layout of structures.
• Mix and prepare mortar by hand or using machinery to ensure a consistent mixture that is suitable for securing bricks and blocks.
• Construct foundations and retaining walls, arches and other structures by arranging bricks and blocks to create sturdy, weather resistant constructions.
• Adhere to safety requirements, such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), securing scaffolding, handling materials properly, and following safe work procedures.
