JOB SUMMARY

This position is located at district headquarters in Roseville and has the flexibility to work in the office or a hybrid schedule that includes in office and teleworking time. If working a hybrid schedule, the incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor.
As the Bridge Data Specialist, this position supports the management of Metro District bridge and ancillary structure inspection data through communication, data analysis, quality control and quality assurance. The position is required to maintain the accuracy and ensure the reliability of bridge data. The position will also assist with analysis, correlation, conversion, and data input of Metro District’s bridge inspection data into the Structure Information Management System (SIMS).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One (1) year of professional work experience OR two years of technical work experience OR two years of advanced clerical experience that demonstrates the following:

  • Experience conducting research and analysis sufficient to report on a variety of information.
  • Experience with interpreting bridge construction plans.
  • Experience modifying data and retrieving reports from databases.
  • Knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience performing inspections of structures.
  • Knowledge of intermediate and advanced Excel functions including macros.
  • Knowledge of and experience with database structures, concepts, and database development.
