Context We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge Engineer to join our team for the prestigious BRT project in Madinaht. The successful candidate will play a critical role in both the design and construction phases, overseeing bridge works to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. GCC experience is mandatory. Missions/Main Duties Lead and manage bridge engineering tasks throughout the project lifecycle, from preliminary design to construction supervision and handover. Prepare and review detailed bridge design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and reports. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, geotechnical, and transportation engineers. Ensure that all designs conform to local and international standards, codes, and best practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters. Conduct site inspections, monitor bridge construction activities, and ensure compliance with design intent, safety regulations, and quality standards. Collaborate closely with contractors, clients, and regulatory authorities to resolve technical queries and address site issues. Lead or participate in value engineering, risk management, and constructability reviews. Support the procurement process by preparing technical requirements and reviewing contractor/subcontractor submissions. Prepare and deliver technical presentations, reports, and client briefings related to bridge engineering works. Profile/Skills Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field. Chartered Engineer status or professional registration is preferred. Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in bridge design and construction, with extensive involvement in large-scale transport infrastructure projects. Prior GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) experience is essential. Strong knowledge of design software (such as SAP2000, ETABS, MIDAS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D). Excellent understanding of relevant international and GCC-specific codes and standards (AASHTO, Eurocodes, BS, etc.). Proven track record in both design office and site-based roles. Strong communication, interpersonal, and team management skills. Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
