VAES.ai We are a tech startup that is being incubated in the technology lab of e.construct and we employ technology to empower and eventually transform engineering. VAES’s mission is to reduce the amount of raw materials we design in our buildings and bridges by using optimization algorithms and machine learning. VAES consists of a team of software developers, civil engineers, machine learning experts, architects and graphic designers that builds tools that engineers can use to design and manufacture the next generation of cities. \n Responsibilities: Lead structural design of bridge components under supervision, including concrete, steel, and composite bridges. Perform detailed structural analyses including static and dynamic modeling, load rating, and code compliance checks. Review drawings, models, and calculations for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with bridge design codes. Support project management and coordination with multidisciplinary teams (Geotechnical, MEP, Architectural, Construction). Prepare and present technical reports, bridge design briefs, and project recommendations. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of bridge design practices. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s in Structural/Bridge Engineering is a plus. 3–5 years of bridge design experience is required. Proficiency with advanced bridge design software (e.g., MIDAS Civil, LUSAS, SAP2000, CSI Bridge). Solid understanding of international bridge design codes (AASHTO LRFD, BS 5400, Eurocodes). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers. \n
