Job Description AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Bridge Inspection Team Leader for employment in the Hunt Valley, MD office. The responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to, the following: Structural Inspection Team Leader for bridges and ancillary structures. Performing condition inspections of highway or other structures in a variety of environments including confined spaces and at height (proper training and personal protection equipment will be provided) Performing assignments related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures. Preparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids Working under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member Qualifications Minimum Requirements BA/BS plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education PE license NHI Certification for Bridge and/or Ancillary Structure Inspections (NHI Courses 130055, 130078, and 130087) Meets qualifications to be a Nationally Certified Bridge Inspector Fundamental understanding of structural engineering principles, including steel and concrete design Certified as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader in Maryland or the ability to obtain in Maryland within 6 months of hiring Valid US Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review. Due to the nature of the work US citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering 5 years of relevant experience is preferred Additional Information Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
