IMMEDIATE JOB OPENING: BRIDGE INSPECTION TEAM LEADER

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking to fill the subject position to work out of CT, RI & Westchester, NY. Founded in 1990, Garg is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm specializing in railroad and transit projects. Headquartered in Rocky Hill, CT with an office in Princeton, NJ, Garg currently employs over 90 employees, mainly working on federal and state projects including some of the most high-profile transportation projects in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

BRIDGE INSPECTION TEAM LEADER

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our dynamic team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of inspectors in conducting detailed bridge inspections. Our expertise spans across multiple disciplines including civil, environmental, transportation, and bridge inspection.

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S degree in Civil Engineering
• Valid Professional Engineering or Engineer-In-Training License
• At least 5 years’ experience in bridge inspection.
• Completed comprehensive training courses including NHI coursework (Bride Inspection/ Refresher Training, Fracture Critical, Tunnel Inspection, Ancillary Structures Etc.)
• Highly motivated and independent with strong work ethic
• Ability and experience to lead the work of others, communicate and maintain proper working relationships
• Possess knowledge of bridge inspection methods and procedures. Must have experience with reporting procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Must have the physical abilities to traverse steep embankments, work within confined spaces, perform inspections while climbing structures, capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
• Working knowledge of Bentley MicroStation/ AutoCAD

• Lead and supervise a team of bridge inspectors, providing guidance and support.
• Plan and coordinate bridge inspections according to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough inspections of bridges, documenting findings, and prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Analyze inspection data to assess structural conditions.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients, and stakeholders to communicate inspection results
