WSP is currently initiating a search for a Bridge Inspector II . This position can sit in any of our Mechanicsburg, Ephrata, York, Exton, Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, PA offices

Provides support to technical staff, engineers, and project managers

• Review previous bridge inspection reports and assist in the planning of field operations.
• Perform inspection work and compile reports.
• Receive directions from Project Manager and other senior staff.
• Technical compliance.
• Assist with work plan preparation and coordination of site work.Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Who You Are

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience
• Analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.
• Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Engineer in Training Certification.
• A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.
• Active CBSI/NCBI credentialsAdditional NHI courses for the inspection of NSTMs, Tunnels and Ancillary Structures
