The University of Northampton is seeking a multiskilled individual, with experience in producing multimedia content for radio, television and digital broadcasting on a temporary basis.
The purpose of this post is to provide camera operation, sound recording and postproduction (video and audio) to assist a blind person on the BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism course.
Duties and responsibilities
Skills and experience
Undergraduate degree in Media Production/Broadcast or similar - Essential
Have an existing Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance or willingness to obtain - Essential
Experience in Video Production both location and studio based - Essential
Knowledge of and experience with editing using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro and Audition - Essential
Knowledge and experience of specialist broadcast software, or willingness to learn - Essential
Knowledge of Social Media, Radio and Television delivery standards - Desirable
Ability to work to deadlines and respond effectively under pressure - Essential
Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork - Essential
Integrity and professionalism, demonstrating adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality, and the ability to work in accordance with the University’s policies on equality, inclusion, sustainability and responsible practice - Essential
Ability to take creative and editorial direction - Desirable
Location
Waterside Campus and local travel to relevant filming locations as required.
Additional information
The closing date for this role will be the 16th of August, please apply with both a CV and cover letter. The successful candidate will be expected to work 100 hours in total over a 24 week period
The intended start date will be the 31st August 26 and the intended end date will be the 31st July 27.
Please note the team would like to interview for this role the week commencing the 24th of August but this has not been confirmed yet.
The interview process will consist of a face to face panel interview and demonstration. This will be at Waterside campus, University Drive - The UON.
