This role will be a core member of a global team of broadcast engineers who support the infrastructure, workflows, and operations underpinning world-class live experiences for Apple Services. The ideal candidate will lead maintenance and reliability initiatives with professionalism, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. DESCRIPTION Apple’s Services team is seeking a skilled and experienced Broadcast Maintenance Engineering Lead to lead maintenance and support of our broadcast and production facilities. This role works closely with Studio Operations, Production Technology, and content production teams to keep all systems running smoothly through proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and continuous optimization. The ideal candidate will lead maintenance projects including planned downtime for critical fixes, technology upgrades, system enhancements, and infrastructure improvements. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams to execute complex maintenance windows, develop comprehensive runbooks and documentation, and establish best practices that minimize disruption while maximizing system reliability and performance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience as a senior-level Broadcast Systems Engineer, Broadcast Maintenance Engineer, or equivalent in the media & entertainment industry Deep technical expertise in broadcast, radio, and production technology systems, including cameras & vision mixers, multi-viewers, audio/video routing, intercom systems, and more Experience with modern media-over-IP standards such as SMPTE 2110 and Dante Operational, configuration, and support experience with broadcast control systems (EVS Cerebrum, Lawo VSM, etc) Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on documentation and reporting Experience directing the work of vendors, contractors, manufacturers, or partners Familiarity with ticketing systems and asset management tools Comfortable navigating new challenges and working through ambiguity Willing to work flexible hours, evenings, overnights, or weekends when required Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with A-list artists and talent Deep understanding of broadcast and production workflows, including live multi-cam productions, live-to-tape, non-linear post-production, live radio, and more Experience with multichannel audio systems (Dolby Atmos) General understanding of facility infrastructure (power distribution, UPS and standby generators, HVAC systems, etc) Familiarity with and passion for the Apple ecosystem of content, services, and hardware
