JOB DESCRIPTION:

We?re looking for a reliable and adaptable Master Control Operator to support the daily operations of our sports network. This role focuses on monitoring live programming, troubleshooting technical issues, and working closely with the team to ensure a smooth on-air presentation across multiple channels.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Master Control, broadcast, or related media operations experience preferred.
  • Quick learner with ability to adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to stay calm under pressure.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Basic computer knowledge; familiarity with broadcast/IT systems like Evertz and Wide Orbit a plus.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understanding of video formats, routing, and streaming technologies.
  • Knowledge of IT networking and broadcast workflows.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain audio/video signals for multiple 24/7 channels.
  • Operate automation systems, routers, and playback equipment.
  • Review and confirm playlist reliability, making adjustments as needed.
  • Log on-air activities, issues, and follow-ups for the team and management.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate technical problems to supervisors and engineering staff.
  • Perform with composure during live on-air issues or outages.
  • Support live events and scheduled programming as needed.
  • Segment/edit content for digital distribution and on air.
