YOUR NEW ROLE…
As a Broadcast Sound Operator, you will be instrumental in delivering flawless audio for live sporting events produced from WBD Sport’s state-of-the-art studio facilities in West London. This is a dynamic, dual-function role that combines hands-on audio mixing with critical technical support across our Chiswick and Stockley Park locations.
In our Audio Mix Rooms, you will be responsible for the setup, mixing, and monitoring of live event audio, ensuring the highest quality sound for our global broadcasts. A key focus is delivering world-class audio content for premier sporting events. You will ensure the gallery team, commentators, and presenters have the required communications and that all audio is mixed and recorded to exacting standards.
Simultaneously, you will work from our Production Control Sound Rooms, supporting Audio Supervisors and engineering systems to ensure complex productions go live on air smoothly. This includes managing and troubleshooting our core broadcast technology, including Lawo consoles, Riedel talkback systems, and BNCS Control Systems, often within a high-pressure environment.
This shift-based role covers a diverse range of productions, from studio shows and cloud productions to gallery-only events. You will work on high-profile sports such as Champions League football, Grand Slam Tennis, motorsports, Cycling Grand Tours, and the Olympic Games. Occasional international travel may be required.
