About the Role


This is a highly operational leadership role requiring a strong on-farm presence and a proactive management approach.


You will oversee all aspects of broiler farm operations, ensuring high standards of safety, biosecurity, animal welfare, and production performance are consistently achieved.


The successful candidate will play a key role in leading farm teams, maintaining compliance standards, driving efficiencies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.


  • Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate daily broiler farm operations to achieve production targets
  • Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety across all farm activities
  • Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity, quarantine, and animal welfare standards
  • Monitor bird health, welfare, and farm productivity outcomes
  • Oversee humane depopulation processes in line with industry regulations
  • Complete farm administration and reporting requirements accurately and on time
  • Supervise quality assurance processes and compliance with industry standards
  • Ensure adherence to OH&S regulations and company procedures
  • Manage farm assets, maintenance schedules, and operational efficiency
  • Train, mentor, and supervise farm employees in poultry husbandry practices
  • Support sustainability initiatives including waste reduction and energy efficiency
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and farm preparedness plans

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in poultry, broiler, breeder, or livestock farm management
  • Strong hands-on operational and leadership capability
  • Knowledge of biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety standards
  • Experience managing teams within an agricultural environment
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage farm performance outcomes
