Requirements Essential Functions Let’s talk about essential functions. To maintain this role, you need to meet certain expectations. All Dutch Bros. West Valley Broistas must: Be available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays Be available to work within the hourly requirements as laid out on the availability form Work a minimum of three (3) shifts per week Proficiently hear, read, write, and speak English Be comfortable with cash handling and on-the-fly mental math Meet all physical demands of the job and conditions of employment Physical demands of the job First off, in any position at a Dutch Bros. shop, all employees must be able to meet the physical demands of their roles. Those demands include: Constant standing and walking up to ten (10) hours at a time Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crawling Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds Occasional ascending or descending ladders and ramps Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrists and spine Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around the bar area Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas via verbal communication Exposure to various sorts of lighting, including some strobe lights Constant clarity of vision at both near and far distances Withstanding long periods of time in extreme heat and extreme cold Proximity to the use of cleaning chemicals Conditions of employment In addition to the physical demands, we also want to be crystal clear on your conditions of employment. After you’ve been hired by us, you will be required to: Acquire a current Arizona Food Handlers Card certification (don’t worry, we’ll give you instructions on how to do this after you’ve been hired) Acquire a current Certified Food Protection Manager certification for Shift Lead positions and above (again, we’ll help) Successfully complete our onboarding training Make drinks according to corporate standards and pass a Flow Test Pass a background check for Assistant Manager positions and above
