Description

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Brokered Mortgage Product Specialist will own all aspects of CMG’s brokered-out product portfolio. This role will serve as the single point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for brokered products, overseeing development of new offerings, maintenance of existing products, and ongoing operational support. This position is critical to ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for both internal stakeholders and broker partners, while driving innovation in the brokered product space.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Lead end-to-end development of new brokered products, from concept through implementation.
  • Partner with internal teams (Technology, Operations, Compliance, Marketing) to bring new brokered offerings to the market on time and within scope.
  • Own and maintain all existing brokered products, ensuring resources remain current.
  • Monitor brokered product performance, gather feedback, and recommend enhancements.
  • Ensure all documentation and training materials are updated as products evolve.
  • Serve as the organization’s go-to resource for brokered products, staying up to date on market trends, investor guidelines, and regulatory changes.
  • Provide expert guidance to sales, operations, and leadership on brokered product nuances.
  • Act as a help desk for brokered products, fielding inquiries from internal teams and external broker partners.
  • Troubleshoot product issues, provide timely solutions, and escalate when needed.
  • Maintain a knowledge base or FAQ resources to streamline support.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3–5 years of mortgage product development, investor relations, or broker-facing experience.
  • Deep knowledge of brokered-out products and investor guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical guidelines into user-friendly guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills.
