Role name and description A senior should be able to lead teams of Analysts and Advanced analysts and be responsible for client service delivery for a particular geography, area or specialization. Reporting in to a Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager, they will assist the management team in developing and coaching team members as well as ensuring that resources are deployed effectively The opportunity The job holder will work on U.S. individual, gift, trust and partnership tax returns Your key responsibilities Client responsibilities Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust and partnership returns; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues Drive the tax return preparation process, review complex tax returns and other tax deliverables Establish and maintain long-term relationships with the clients and internal colleagues Explore opportunities to bring more work to the GDS and to EY by consistently providing high quality work Supervise day to day operations and engagement milestones with little or no manager involvement Demonstrate leadership skills in developing the highest performing teams Help Senior Managers and Managers with advisory and ad-hoc projects Develop engagement and financial management skills by managing own and/or other’s impact on project economics, including controlling costs, monitoring budget to actual differences Contribute process improvement ideas leading to higher quality service delivery to the client or greater efficiency in the compliance process Identify opportunities to leverage information and resources across assignments and teams People responsibilities Facilitate teaming and manage conflicts Motivate and inspire team members Lead by example and be a role model Contribute actively to creating a high performing team Assist Seniors and Managers on special projects, as requested Additional skills requirements Preferable with Certified EA, CPA or equivalent. Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, gift, trust and partnership returns. Skills and attributes for success Demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues Effective communication skills - being articulate, thoughtful, and adapting communication to target audiences. Good analytical, numeric and people management skills To qualify for the role, you must have Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, gift, trust and partnership returns.
