We are seeking a Production Supervisor to supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines. SHIFT AVAILABLE 2nd shift. WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE? Monitors and tracks quality through inspection rounds Schedule’s staffing based on production needs Monitor and help reach shift expectations including machine run rates, setup times, breaks and indirect time Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees directly with production issues or needs Rewards or disciplines employees as needed Champions safety for shift Develops employees’ skills and efficiencies while creating a sense of urgency Communicates between shifts and areas Reconcile employees’ hours to ensure accurate record keeping of hours worked Maintains a presence on the manufacturing floor of at least 80% of the workday Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS KEY SKILLS AND ABILITIES Effective Communication: You'll need to write clearly and professionally, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Strong Interpersonal Skills: You should be able to approach people tactfully, treat everyone with respect, and handle conflicts in a constructive manner. Leadership & Mentorship: If you'll be managing people, you'll need to involve your team in planning and decision-making, and be a resource for them. You should also be committed to helping your team members grow and develop their skills. Technical Proficiency: Experience using production software, ERP software, payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level. Adaptability & Responsibility: You should be able to work well under pressure, take responsibility for your actions, and follow through on commitments. High School Diploma or GED is required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ability to stand for approximate duration of scheduled shift (minus paid breaks), lift up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally, repetitive grasping, frequent twisting, lifting above shoulder height, occasional bend, reach, crouch, or stoop. Sensory requirements are tactile/touch with hands and digits, near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Reasoning, mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills for appropriate operations of the equipment.
